Base
- 1 large watermelon (oval-shaped, for the turkey "body")
- 1 pineapple (for feathers and head)
- 1 honeydew melon or cantaloupe (optional, for extra feathers)
Fruit "Feathers"
- Grapes (red and green)
- Strawberries
- Kiwi slices
- Orange segments
- Blueberries
Details
- 1 pear or apple (for the turkey "head")
- 2 whole cloves or blueberries (for eyes)
- 1 slice of strawberry or red apple (for the "gobbler")
- 1 Toothpicks (for assembly)
Slice the watermelon in half lengthwise. Place one half flat-side down on a large platter as the turkey "body."
Cut the pineapple into long, thin wedges (skin on for color contrast). Arrange them in a fan shape behind the watermelon.
Add melon slices, grapes, strawberries, kiwi, and oranges between pineapple wedges for colorful "feathers."
Carve the pear/apple into a turkey head shape. Attach cloves/blueberries for eyes and a strawberry slice for the gobbler with toothpicks.
Place the head at the front of the watermelon body.
Use blueberries or grapes as "feet" at the base of the watermelon.
Pair with yogurt dip or melted chocolate for dipping.
